' At RPS International School, Sector- 50, Gurugram, a 'Show n Tell' competition was organised for the students to enhance their communication and creative skills. The tiny tots of Grade Nursery spoke about 'Aquatic Animals'. Some students created beautiful headgears,others used pictures and posters as a prop for the activity. Grade LKG students spoke confidently about their 'Favourite Bird'. The students used pictures of their favourite bird to share important information about their features,habitats and the food they eat. The students of Grade UKG showcased the most interesting topic 'Solar System' and explained about it in an impressive manner. It was wonderful to see our little munchkins emerging as confident speakers.

'Buddy Day' is a wonderful opportunity to express our love and gratitude to family and friends.This day symbolises love, friendship, kindness and gratitude and is the best time to show appreciation for the people we love. At RPS International School ,Sector- 50, the Pre- Primary wing planned various interesting activities for the students to make this day really special for them. Grade UKG children expressed their love and bonding with their families while participating in the 'Family Tree' activity which made this celebration even more special. 'Friendship' is the strongest relationship for the children, after their relationship with parents. Vasant Panchami is celebrated across the nation for the arrival of the spring season.This festival is dedicated to Goddess Saraswati the goddess of knowledge, language, music, arts, and power of longing. People wear yellow clothes as a symbolic representation of spirituality. The colour holds a special meaning for this celebration, as it signifies bright yellow sunshine, brilliance of nature and the vibrancy of life. Vasant Panchami is made up of two words Vasant and Panchami. It refers to the fifth day of the spring season. "Mathematics is the only subject which shows that problems have solutions". To celebrate the spirit of mathematical learning, Pre-Primary wing of RPS International School, sector-50, Gurugram,celebrated National mathematics day on Tuesday 22nd Dec'20. This day marks the birth anniversary of self-taught Indian mathematician, Srinivasa Ramanujan and his contributions in the field of mathematics. In order to explore various mathematical concepts in a creative manner, teachers planned a number of fun-filled activities for children. 'Roll and Dot the Numbers', ' Fun with Shapes and Numbers' and 'Dice making' were a few of them.All the activities were challenging, hands on and applicable in real life and brought forth maximum participation from students. It was indeed a joyful day of learning for the children who exhibited unparalleled excitement and actively participated in all activities.  

  “We see GOD in nature, on animals, in birds and in the environment .” What an exciting day it was for Pre Primary UKG A3 as all the kids got ready to participate in the class special Assembly held on 15th December 2020 . The theme of the day was ‘ Animals and Birds’. Every animal or bird that exists on the Earth is a link in the balance of our ecosystem. They have a great importance in our lives as they help to maintain the fragile balance of nature. Through this assembly the children were made to understand the roles and responsibilities of humans for co existing with other species. The sole purpose of conducting a class assembly was to develop a bond amongst the children and give them an exposure of public speaking on virtual platforms. The children were given different roles to play like of the Elephant , Peacock , Rabbit , Lion , Tiger , Giraffe etc. They all looked adorable and spoke confidently about the uniqueness of different animals and also recited rhymes with actions ....

The assembly started with the Gayatri Mantra followed by a welcome note from the Teacher in-charge, Ms.Ravinder Kaur. The theme of this assembly was to highlight the significance of National Symbols of our country -Tiger, Peacock, Mango, Banyan tree, National Flag, National River, National currency, National song and National Game.The little wonders were beautifully dressed up in the National Symbols and presented their talk. The assembly came to an end with National Anthem and Vote of Thanks by the class in-charge. She also shared some important guidelines with the little ones to stay safe during this pandemic.

Lohri, a harvest festival  was celebrated at RPS International School Sec 50 Gurugram with a lot of enthusiasm and fervor.  Lohri marks the end of the winter season .Therefore, it is a seasonal festival. It is also considered a harvest festival and it is an important day for the farmers. Amidst the cold weather of new year 2020, the school staff experienced some respite as they were involved in a spirit of celebrating Lohri, the festival of holy bonfire. The School Principal Mrs. Bindu Gupta lit the fire. Everyone worshipped the holy fire and groundnuts and sweets were also distributed to all. After Poojan, everyone danced and sang around the bonfire. Giddha and Bhangra Dance was performed by the teachers.
