Christmas Day

Mathematics Day

"Mathematics is the only subject which shows that problems have solutions". To celebrate the spirit of mathematical learning, Pre-Primary wing of RPS International School, sector-50, Gurugram,celebrated National mathematics day on Tuesday 22nd Dec'20. This day marks the birth anniversary of self-taught Indian mathematician, Srinivasa Ramanujan and his contributions in the field of mathematics. In order to explore various mathematical concepts in a creative manner, teachers planned a number of fun-filled activities for children. 'Roll and Dot the Numbers', ' Fun with Shapes and Numbers' and 'Dice making' were a few of them.All the activities were challenging, hands on and applicable in real life and brought forth maximum participation from students. It was indeed a joyful day of learning for the children who exhibited unparalleled excitement and actively participated in all activities.  

Morning Assembly

  “We see GOD in nature, on animals, in birds and in the environment .” What an exciting day it was for Pre Primary UKG A3 as all the kids got ready to participate in the class special Assembly held on 15th December 2020 . The theme of the day was ‘ Animals and Birds’. Every animal or bird that exists on the Earth is a link in the balance of our ecosystem. They have a great importance in our lives as they help to maintain the fragile balance of nature. Through this assembly the children were made to understand the roles and responsibilities of humans for co existing with other species. The sole purpose of conducting a class assembly was to develop a bond amongst the children and give them an exposure of public speaking on virtual platforms. The children were given different roles to play like of the Elephant , Peacock , Rabbit , Lion , Tiger , Giraffe etc. They all looked adorable and spoke confidently about the uniqueness of different animals and also recited rhymes with actions . "India is not a nation nor a country, It is a subcontinent of nationalities." The students of UKG A1presented the Virtual Morning Assembly on the theme 'National Symbols' on 8th December, 2020. The assembly started with the Gayatri Mantra followed by a welcome note from the Teacher in-charge, Ms.Ravinder Kaur. The theme of this assembly was to highlight the significance of National Symbols of our country -Tiger, Peacock, Mango, Banyan tree, National Flag, National River, National currency, National song and National Game.The little wonders were beautifully dressed up in the National Symbols and presented their talk. The assembly came to an end with National Anthem and Vote of Thanks by the class in-charge. She also shared some important guidelines with the little ones to stay safe during this pandemic.
